Roscoe's Neapolitan Pizzeria: Authentic Italian Pizza & Fresh Pasta in Takoma Park

This is for anyone who likes artisan pizzas with soft, firm crust, a bit of chew and a slightly charred bottom. This seasonal summer squash pizza is a top 5, maybe top 3 for me, including a few from Rome. Thin strips of squash over a pesto sauce with crispy prosciutto, whipped recotta and a drizzle of maple syrup. I like a bit of heat with the sweet so I added a few shakes of red pepper flakes. It’s a shame that this is a seasonal pie. If you are in the DC area it is worth the trip to Tacoma Park.

A true neighborhood gem. The shrub mocktail was one of the best non-alcoholic cocktails we’ve ever had, the olives were served delectably warm, and the pizza was very good as well.

Food was good but when asked if I could get the pancetta cooked a little more, I was told pizzas can't be put back in the oven once they're out. That made no sense to me as neither of us touched the food. I took it home, crisped up the pancetta and the pizza was fabulous. We'll be back but now I know to ask questions before ordering.

we got the Antica pizza which has Italian ham,pepperoni, sausage, smoked mozzarella, parmesan , and garlic on it. it was very good. a meat lover's dream. not, salty, nice balance of flavors, crust soft not chewy like some places that serve this type of pizza. we also tried the short rib panino. my cousin got this. he left his glasses and read it as short Ribs penne. thought he was getting pasta not a sandwich. but he ate it. we both found the meat despite being tender had no taste. it definitely needs to be seasoned. but despite that the pizza is the star and I would definitely go back again if in the area. the waiter was friendly helpful with the menu. nice cozy spot for a nice community.

Holy WOW!! As a vegan, I’ve been on the search for places that not only give my taste buds the ride of my life, but a place to connect with my friends with all different taste preferences and MAN! Have we found it. The love for pizza never goes away, even if you stray away from dairy and meat, and you have made my pizza lover dreams come true! This little corner of heaven has heavy hitter flavors as well as an ambiance that will have you wanting to return over and over. I only had the chance to order to go, but even that has left a great taste in my mouth, pun- intended. You’ve got a a new regular for sure. THANKS!!

I never have to wait more than 8-10min for my take away orders, and they always say "give it 15min". Everytime I come in, I am greeted kindly and professionally and offered water while I wait. The bartender is a delightful lady with a sparkle in her eye. I have NEVER had a complaint in the month since coming on a weekly basis, and plan to continue coming in every week till we move away.

The mushroom pizza is so delicious. The salad is fresh.

This place is very cozy, perfect if you’re vegan or vegetarian (plenty of choices). The food is really good, I’m not a bing fan of the cocktails but they have a pretty decent beer selection. Service is average (a bit slow) but understandable because they use a brick oven for their pizzas. Usually I don’t have concerns or inconveniences with any restaurant but in this case I have to give them 4 stars just because we had a hard time paying the bill in our table. Be aware, if you having a party 3 plus people you won’t be able to split the bill in more than 2 credits cards even if the tip is already included, I understand some folks may want to have their bill separate and that maybe an issue for servers but we weren’t asking for this, we just wanted to pay the entire amount (tip included) between 5 of us. Thank God the manager allowed us to pay with 5 different cards but he informed us that they internal policy is not more than 2 cards per table.
